EdgeWater, FL – Builders of high quality family oriented semi-custom offshore center consoles, crossovers and express cabin models was awarded a contract to build a flotilla of specialized commercial patrol boats for the country of Trinidad & Tobago.
Since January, our employees have been building 318cc’s and 388cc’s for the island nation’s Coast Guard to use for contraband interdiction, water safety, ocean rescue and coastal protection. The initial service of these EdgeWaters will be as part of a coastal security fleet employed to protect dignitaries attending the Summit of the Americas in Port of Spain, Trinidad in mid April.
The Summits of the Americas are periodic meetings that bring together the thirty-four democratically elected Heads of State and Government of the Americas to discuss and make decisions on issues of relevance for the region. Following the Fifth Summit of the Americas, these EdgeWater will be placed into permanent service with the Trinidad & Tobago Coast Guard.
Today, recreational and commercial EdgeWaters continue to roll boats off the assembly line bound for offshore destinations from Washington State to Key West.
