Known as a premier builder of family-oriented center console boats, crossover and express models, EdgeWater Power Boats introduces the new 368 Deep-V Center Console. This new flagship model, representing the next generation of EdgeWater’s market-leading design and technology, will debut at the 2015 Miami International Boat Show on February 12-16, 2015.
Designed to perform with twin or triple engines, the EdgeWater 368CC can be equipped with twin Yamaha F350 or Triple Yamaha F300 four-stroke outboards for reliable, economical power. The 368CC provides the best performance in its class, delivering 40% better speed and fuel efficiency than the competition.
The 368CC features EdgeWater’s most sophisticated twin step hull design to date, along with the builder’s advanced SPI hull and deck construction. The helm area and integrated windshield hardtop also are built using SPI and carbon materials. Its light, aerodynamic design eliminates the use of aluminum tubing. Other new technologies on the boat include a C-Zone digital switching system, Optimus electric steering, Garmin electronics, and Yamaha Command Link Plus controls. This complete electronics suite is integrated with NMEA 2000.
The 368CC’s advanced design and technologies result in a boat with all the comforts of a day cruiser and the performance and range of the fastest fish boats. It also features a luxurious wraparound bow and mezzanine cockpit seating, and an “executive jet” style cabin in the console, with galley, convertible dinette, concealed electric head, and even a flat-screen TV.
“The new 368CC is leading our company into a new era of boat building with a focus on technology, performance, safety and luxury,” said EdgeWater Power Boats President Peter Truslow. “Stop by to see it during the Miami International Boat Show at the Miami Beach Convention Center, Booth P-51, or in the Yamaha in-water display at the Sea Isle Marina show location.”
The 368CC also will be on display at the New England Boat Show in the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center on February 14-22nd.
EdgeWater’s Exclusive Single Piece Infusion Process
With EdgeWater’s proprietary SPI (Single Piece Infusion) construction process, vinylester resin is vacuum infused into the builder’s grid structures and the hull laminate in one step. By infusing them together, resin molecules in the grid harden at the exact same time as the resin in the fiberglass laminate, making it bond as one piece. SPI achieves a strength-to- weight ratio greater than open-molded, polyester boats, according to laboratory test results provided by Owens Corning. When combined with the sea keeping ability of EdgeWater’s variable deadrise deep-V hulls, SPI technology produces better handling, performance, fuel efficiency and range than other production boats of the same size, length and power.
